Money woes force 2 prestigious Philadelphia schools to close their libraries

The libraries at two public schools that are considered among the most prestigious in Philadelphia's most prestigious schools--Central High and Masterman School-- have been shuttered. The Philadelphia Inquirer says the closings are the result of the district's severe financial problems. The principals at Central and Masterman, magnet schools that take in top students from across the city, are trying to figure out how to reopen the libraries in a limited way.
