The Palm Beach County (Fla.) district has shut down a floundering charter school. The Palm Beach Post reports that no officials or parents from the iGeneration Empowerment Academy spoke in defense of the school before the school board unanimously voted to immediately close the school. The charter school apparently stopped operating Monday and told the parents of its 80 students to enroll their children at other schools. The charter school had struggled since it decided to consolidate its Palm Beach Gardens and Delray Beach locations into one location in West Palm Beach. It turns out that the school was evicted from its Palm Beach Gardens location.
