Michigan may add more schools to state's recovery district

"Fewer than 10" struggling schools could be moved to the Education Achievement Authority, officials say.

Michigan could be adding more low-performing schools to its statewide recovery district as soon as next month. Mlive.com reports that the Michigan Department of Education was considering adding "fewer than 10" schools to the Education Achievement Authority. The recovery district now operates 15 former Detroit public schools.
