A student who carried a shotgun into Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colo., opened fire and wounded two fellow students before apparently killing himself. The Denver Post reports that one wounded student, a girl, was in serious condition and undergoing surgery. The other student was expected to be released from the hospital. The suspected gunman was found dead inside the school from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police say. Arapahoe High and other schools in the Littleton district were placed on lockdown until authorities had the situation under control.
