Residents and city officials in St. Pete Beach, Fla., say they support a proposal from Pinellas County school administrators to reopen Gulf Beaches Elementary, which closed in 2009. The Tampa Bay Times says a plan spearheaded by superintendent Michael Grego calls for reopening Gulf Beaches and Kings Highway Elementary in Clearwater.
