A jury found Bloxham guilty of theft last month after a nine-day trial, the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung reports.
Prosecutors asserted that Bloxham and the district's former superintendent, Marc Walker, used their positions between 2010 and 2012 to get free air conditioning and construction work done at their homes. Walker is scheduled to go on trial later this month on similar charges.
The two also were accused of hiding the cost of the work and equipment among invoices for district construction projects.
Bloxham was overseeing facility construction in the district at the time. He resigned from the district in 2012. Walker retired as superintendent in 2012.
